Find Your Super Powers in Your Passions…

So how do you find what you are passionate about to live a life of purpose at peace?

How about starting off by answering the following three questions with the first five things that come to mind:

  1. What I’m good at?
  2. What I love to do?
  3. What others will pay me for?

Now find the intersection of where those answers align to show you 2 – 3 of your superpowers!

So for example in my life, when I was employed as a manager at financial institutions, I realized I was good at being a strength-based leader by involving others as members of our team. Therefore they would share their best ideas and stretch to perform at their highest levels. As a result, the teams I lead would consistently be #1 in the rankings.

And I love to share my story to encourage others about the ups and downs of finding my passion and purpose. I feel by sharing authentically about what I did well and where I had learning experiences, they are encouraged to pursue their dreams and goals and not give up.

So upon reflection, I learned that two of my superpowers are strengths-based leadership and authenticity which helps to model and encourage others to find and live out their dreams and goals. That is why I am jazzed everyday to fight for your highest possible good as your trainer and coach!

Find your Purpose by looking to your past…

In light of today’s 15th anniversary of 9/11, I do not have words for the grief I share for those who lost loved ones in this tragedy. However, maybe a slice of my history will help you better understand the “why” of the World Peace Center’s existence.

Looking back at my past, I felt most alive when I connected deeply with others unlike me. I loved to celebrate where we were alike and had a reverence for the differences.

One experience was my first trip to Japan in college because of a childhood fascination with the samurai and ninja. At that time, I saw the Hiroshima museum depicting the horrors of war. It was such a disconnect to me, since I was living with a Japanese family and, although we were separated by language, I experienced their and other Japanese people’s love for me.

This revealed my life’s purpose to use business as a mission to create world peace and understanding.

As a result that same year in college, I started an export company to Japan which ultimately lead me to open my business in and relocate to Dubai, UAE.

It was not until much later in life that I realized my drive to create world peace was really about my own lack of personal peace, and that’s when I came to a place of surrender.

So the World Peace Center’s mission is to help other individuals who have been striving to find and live out their passion and purpose leading them to ultimate peace.

What kept me from living my Passion & Purpose?

Hey Peace Makers,

Since I was 15, I knew empowering others and business as a mission to peace was what jazzed me. And granted I’ve had some unique successes having founded several international companies, done business in 40 different countries and lived in the Far and Middle East. However, although my mission and goals were pretty clear at an early age, I had not performed at the level I knew I was capable.

What held me back? Two things!

(1) I did what came naturally, yet when I hit a ceiling of achievement, I would try something else. The solution I implemented was to do what did not come naturally. That is to research and find role models who have accomplished what I wanted and to put myself under their coaching and accountability.

(2) In the past, I would lose focus chasing many good ideas toward my peace mission and goals, yet I had my hand in a lot of different areas. Now we have the World Peace Center’s Vivid Vision crystal clear so we know what we must do every day to get there. I have a deep inner sense that with my Creator all things are possible–even World Peace!
